Contrary to the current cold weather things have been hotting up at XCRacer towers (tall shed) firstly and most importantly we say fair well to our creator Martyn Salt.

Martyn set up XCRacer back in 2005 because he felt XC racing didn't have a home on the web. Fast forward 9 years and XCRacer has become one of the main resources for cross country racing in the UK. Martyn is currently working on the exciting World Wheel Chair Rugby 2015 Event. Martyn has decided to step back from XCRacer after 9 years to concentrate on other event projects and enjoy precious time with his family.

In other news we welcome aboard Gorrick MTB Events. Gorrick have supported us for the past few years and are now using our online entry system for all their upcoming events: The Merida Brass Monkeys Series is well under way, with Round 2 on the 15th December. The Saddle Skedaddle XC Series Online entry opened a couple of days ago too - all their 2015 dates are confirmed and listed in the calendar. The latest news from James Hampshire - organiser of the Midlands XC Series - The Midlands Champs are confirmed for the 10th May 2015 at an East Midlands venue not used for a long time...

They also have a new host club working hard to bring an XCM marathon race back for one of the rounds in 2015.

Help make the Midlands XC even better still, they have a quick feedback form that they're asking all previous racers to complete (takes 2 mins)

Planning on going large with the Turkey and sprouts this year, well here's a few events that's get you back in your favourite jeans...

So kicking off this Sunday with the 2nd round of the Merida Brass Monkeys at Tunnel Hill and in Wales we also have Round 2 of the Red Kite Winter series on the Coed Trallwm trails. Then its time for the "Original" post Christmas Enduro - The SPAM Winter Challenge at Erlestoke Camp on the 28th December.

In January were back to Gorricksville with Round 3 of the Brass Moneys on the 4th. Also on the 4th is the Frozen Devil and the start of the Pembrey XC Series. 11th of Jan is Round 1 of the Soggy Bottom Series at Newnham Park in Devon. January the 18th is getting busier with the fifth installment of the Offcamber Winter Series, The start of the Gorrick Saddle Skedaddle Spring Series, Round 2 of the Pembrey XC and Red Kites Winter Series Rd 3 in Mid Wales. On the 25th its over to Thetford forest for round 3 of the Thetford Winter Enduro.
